Pre Processing Source ??

Hi all All I ever DIVX are DVD movies. Whats the general concensus on Pre Processing when encoding ? Should I use it, if so what level and exactly what does it do? Basically, what are its Pros & Cons ?? Thanks to all who reply. Regards Griff

theReal, do you use VirtualDub for capturing? If yes, I recommend to use the denoising during capture, works great for me (see ) bb
