convert mac session to avid-friendly omf

I'm trying to export my pro-tools session to an avid system that can import my tracks (via omf). Does this work? Any pitfalls? What I should I look out for? Thanks a ton!

Hello, As mentioned you can use DigiTranslator to export tracks from Pro Tools as an OMF document. With DT installed: -Select the tracks you would like to export -Go to FIle > Export Selected Tracks as OMF -Check "Enforce Avid compatibility" -Confirm that the Target Project timecode format is correct -If you are going to a Mac based Avid use either SDII, AIFF or Embedded -For a Windows based Avid use either AIFF, BWF or Embedded -Hit ok and name the OMF On the Avid: When importing a sequence that was exported from a Pro Tools session (Export Selected Tracks as OMF), always drag the resulting audio media files into the OMFI Media Files folder on the Avid first. Then go to File > Import OMF. I hope this helps. Mike
