as has been said before, check out the workings of the fuel pump relay, the pump will be audiable to the ear...try turning the key to position ii four or five times to really prime up the rail...then start finally check the pressure with the pump primed at the rail using a manual tyre pressure gauge..it should be just over 3 bars...43psi.... cheers jod

I thinkk I may have to go and have a long lay down in a minute, this car will be the death of me The car would not start othe night called out RAC he said it was crankshaft sensor. Everything else is working as far as I know could it be the inhibitor switch I see this a lot on the site
Does the engine crank? If so, the inhibitor switch would appear to be working fine. If it's dodgy you get nothing but dashboard lights when you turn the key to the start position. You can try the ratcheting of the selector back and forth twenty times or so to see if that cleans the contacts. Have you established whether you're getting a spark at the plugs? The cam sensor is another one that'll stop an engine dead. Codes really help when trying to find the problem.

I ve just checked with the other half , no spark but coil is ok I hope the following makes sense 2 diagnostic boxes a and b there is a fly lead on side of A which plugs in to 1 - 6 to test ignition system, you plug fly lead into 6 of a there is no connection for fly lead to connect to in either 5 or 6 these are both empty in box A Does this make sense or I am talking total rubbish
