ENCODING with NeroDigital AVC elsewhere: Success, but how to control?

I know I can encode NeroDigital AVC stuff. I've done it, and written to AVI, and it plays successfully. You just can't split pre-made stuff. Well, I'm fine encoding outside of NeroDigital--rename GraphEdit to "Recode.exe", then use "Nero Digital AVC Enc" selected from the [Video Compressors] subheading, connect 'em up... and... AND... it works... But the problem here is, I have no control over the encoder settings. Right-clicking the filter and selecting show properties DOESNT WORK. I was told once that NeroDigital AVC uses Ateme's system of control (via a written encode.log file). Is this right? How do you control the AVC enc.?! All it does is output the file in slightly worse quality with quick encoding... Any solution? Any way to modify Nero Digital AVC Enc filter? Or to write its log? Thanks.

strange over here I can't even insert the "Nero Digital AVC Enc" into a graph no matter if I rename graphedit.exe to Recode.exe or not,...

@Selur (I think you are also in the 3ivx forum talking to me about the same thing !! ;-) ): To insert, you have to select the filter from the "Video Compressors" heading. It will NOT insert from the "directshow" heading... So, basically, there is no way to encode without Nero Recode there to split stuff? Well, what about encoding from scratch? Let's say I have an AVI. I split it. I send the video stream over to the Nero Digital AVC Enc, I parse it to AVC, I stick it in an AVI with file writer. And then 3ivx split, mux to avi, voila. But how do you change the settings of the Nero Enc? [Edit, ] uh, my image won't display... Does the upload feature work at all, or does it take a while for the pic to appear?

1. a upload has to be authorised by a mod :) 2. yup i'm a mod over at the 3ivx forum (also one over at german.doom9 and the offical german dvdtoogm board *gig*) 3. okay, if one renames graphedit.exe to recode.exe AND selects the filter from the 'Video Compressors' subtree one can insert it. => will play with this at the weekend Cu Selur Ps.: as splitter you could also try the one from moonlight,... ;)

Moonlight? Man, I went to their site... I've never seen anything more confusing in my whole, entire life. Yeah, I've heard Moonlight was working on a good AVC splitter and parser. Uh, where exactly can you get this moonlight splitter?
