MBox SP-DIF I/O

Heya all Can anyone tell me if it is currently possible to use SPDIF as an input to MBox? There is a clearly marked SPDIF input port on the back of MBox, but the LE software doesn't seem to allow selecting this as an input channel. There is a dialogue in the Hardware setup that mentioned SPDIF as an input for Ch1&2, but selecting this didn't seem to help. I also noticed somewhere that there is an option for syncing from SPDIF, but obviously this ain't gonna do much if I can't get it inputting at all. Anyone out there have any views? J. PS> Oh, yeah. I'm was on LE 5.3.3 on WinXP Pro SP1 on a Toshi laptop. Now on LE 6.1 on WinXP Pro Sp1a on the same model laptop.

The bad news is that using the s/pdif input disables the analog output, so you need an outboard d/a converter too. You can only use both analog or both digital.

Ctrl+1 (on the numeric keypad) opens the Session Setup Window. I never had good success getting the MBox to sync to another Digi system with MTC and SPDIF.. there was always a fixed offset. Rail
