Hey man, you may think i'm full of it but, I think I have stumbled across the problem of wide open natural sounding mixes in PTs or any other WS. It's the power supply. Most residential and commercial structures are feed by 240 volts. 120 on one side of the breaker panel, 120 on the other side. Each out of phase with each other, as I understand it. I did a RCD thru only one side of the 120v feed, then another with my g5 on the "other side" of the 240v feed. RTD in PTs, and compared that to the one done on the same side, wow, what a difference. The imaging was so much more open and natural sounding without the clutter of eveything compeating with each other to fill the space. Another words, have some gear on one side of the 240 and other gear on the other.
All I want to do is share results. All you can do is try for yourself, despise theory, and hear for yourself. That's all, i'm not here to convince anyone of anything. It made a big difference. Depending on which part of the world your from, results could vary. Try it, what have you got to loose?
