Well it looks like this might be solved now. Havent checked it out yet. Heres another method that may or may not be worth trying. ---------------------------- Create a new track called 'Cue track' as the first track in the project and solo it. Disable its master/parent send and add a hardware output to your headphone channels in the tracks i/o. Now route each track you want going to the headphones directly to the 'Cue Track', using recieves in the cue tracks i/o. That means if you have tracks in folders, dont route the folder to the cue track, route the tracks in the folder individually. Its probably quicker to 'recieve from all tracks' and delete any not needed. Route them post-fx to create a seperate cue mix completely, if you are using folders in your project that is or if the performer wants some different monitoring levels from the actual project. Then create a new track called 'Master' as the second track. Solo it, make it a folder and make the last track in your project the 'end folder' track. This 'Master folder' will then contain all the tracks in the project except the 'Cue Track'. Now, everything should work as you like. Soloing wont affect the cue mix and you can alt-solo a track to hear it soloed exclusive (ie. without any of its sends, if it has any) if you like. Just make sure if you add any new tracks they go into the 'Master folder' and get routed to the cue track. Ive attached an example project(without any audio, just add your own) so you can check out the routing for yourself. If we could optionally make the Master solo behave like a track solo, there would be no need for a 'Master' folder track.
