I just wish that someone with total knowlage of how Reaper works, could answer if its possible or not.Its very time consuming and confusing to try again and again, spesially if its not possible to do it.Please.....

Hopefully a simple workaround. 1. Have the Sends visible in the Mixer. 2. Mute the Main Monitor Hardware Send in the Master Channel 3. Create a Hardware send on the track you want to hear for the Main Monitor Hardware. To change the channel you hear through your monitor, you can then Alt+drag that Hardware Send to any track you want to hear, without effecting the Cue Mix. When done, mute the Hardware Send on the track, unmute the Master.
There it is again: REAPER's missing controlroom channel/solo bus. You can't find any console (and probably any other DAW, don't know) where soloing affects the master output (or any other output than the controlroom output). Only REAPER does it this way. Why? IMHO the way soloing is handled now is just plain wrong.
OHHHH, Thank God,I am not alone. I was begining to think that I was just too dumb to find the solution. I really did not know this was a big issue. Solo like on and old analog desk cant be that diffecult.
In analog land, a regular solo works like sellmestory described, allowing you to listen to one channel without affecting others. But a regular solo always has the track panned center. Solo in place (SIP) works by muting all other tracks, and lets you hear the panning. Most low to midrange consoles don't have a SIP, just a regular PFL. You can use a regular solo while tracking, but you can't use the SIP except when mixing. Just to be sure I'm not confused, I looked it up:

It's really simple what he's asking for, to solo something in the master bus and not break /mute the sends in the process. Create a cue mix to a hardware output and try to solo something in the master without disturbing it. Almost every console I ever owned can do that including the console and daw I use now. It's a pretty common thing. Cue mixes need to be totally separate.
Solo slave? Just to be clear exactly what we're talking about... Solo bass and - only - hear bass in the main speakers but all 32 tracks going to cue mix one are all still playing there? Can you explain that in detail, I don't get It either. Thanks.
You can use different groups for different functions if you want(which is what I do), but for such a simple function it isn't necessary. Just set all your cue mix track to groupe 1 slave solo. I thought the point of this thread was to find out how to achieve a desired behavior using Reaper now, not what might/might not it be like in the future. There's already an FR thread about this for future thing.
