TCE weirdness

I'm trying to use the Time Compression Expansion plug to compress an audio file and instead of compressing, it just trim the region and leaves the audio as it was. I searched the DUC but didn't see anything about a TCE bug.

Check the preferences for which plug-in is used with the TCE tool.. also check that the parameters are set correctly and not set to bypass (or something similar). What's the name of the region after you perform the TCE? Rail

RE: TCE weirdness

Hi! First, is it the TCE Tool? Or the time plug? Figure you are talking about the Tool. Are you sure it was selected as TCE and not Trim? The Trimmer Tool has 2 modes: Trim and TCE. When in TCE Mode, the Trimmer tool will have a little "bracket and clock" looking thing on it. When you click on the Trimmer Tool itself and hold, it will open a drop-down with the two Modes shown/notated, select the one you want. Also, if you have the Waves Transform bundle (or any bundle that includes it), a second choice in Setups->Preferences for the TCE Tool will be there. I prefer this to the "stock" TCE code.

I was talking about the audiosuite version of TCE. I tried it in another session and it worked ok. Seems to happen from time to time and I never know why.
