960 Electric Seat

Well, I've gorn and bought a 960 estate. Outside she's fine, inside she's grubby, but cleaning up a treat with leather cleaner and elbow grease.. BUT.. I have found the first problem. The passenger side electric seat does not move at all, not a flicker. I've loked at the ordinary owners manual, and as far as I can see both seats share a power supply from relay 25 in the right hand end of the dashboard. Ad the drivers side seat is working fine, then it can't be that relay, so does anyone have an idea what and where to check next. As the car has side and front airbags, I'm reluctant to start poking about too much incase I explode! Just wondered if this was a common fault, and if there is a way, temproarily, to get round the electric adjustmen and get the seat into the position I want it by hand. It must be a power supply probmel, as I can't see ALL the seat adjustment motors failing in one go!

Hi, Have you tried the On/Off switch by any chance as the passenger side seat can be switched off. It also requires that the ignition be switched on to work whereas the drivers seat does not.. If the above does not help then it is a "check the wiring" and "check the motors" senario.. Des. . . ;)
