001 \"a digisystem INIT is required\" Need some help.

So im trying to run a digi digi 001 on a newly purchased g4. I installed both pro tools and the oms software, but everytime i start up pro tools this pops up,"a digisystem INIT is required". Unfortunatly os 10 was installed on this comp, and if im not wrong i think pro tools needs to run on os9. So i have os9 installed as a sub application(if you understand what i mean), i can run it at the same time as os 10, so im not sure what the problem is, so any info would be great.

thanks Slim Shady, i was wondering if theres a place to download the os9(not classic). IM going to check the mac site again but i couldnt find it last time... Hopefully i can still get the os9 cuase i really look forward to getting this setup running.

OS 9.2 should be on the install disk you got with the computer. You did get the disks???

There aren't downloads available of full OS installs like that. You'd need an Apple OS 9.2.2 install CD, or if you have the original disks that came with the G4 there should be an OS9 installer in there too. Athough... Since you have classic running, you should already have a full OS9 installed - go to System Preferences->Startup Disk and you should see an option to reboot into OS9.

I booted up in os9, instead of having that alert pop up, it seems to just freeze. The digidesign loading window doesnt even pop up, it just says pro tools on the top bar of the screen. Im thinking of trying to reinstall everything.
