I don't know why, but with all the latest xvid builds I cant select 48khz 16 bit stereo sound when I capture with Iuvcr! I can do it with older builds and also divx! Iuvcr gives me this error: ACMformat suggest (error code:00000200) Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Koepi, I simply select uncompressed PCM 48khz 16bit stereo! I was doing all my video captures with pcm 44khz or 48khz till now and never had a problem! now the funny thing is: If I set the audio to 48khz then the captured avi plays like a slideshow! AND in the xvid codec in the debug tab ( the codec sets itself the "frame drop ratio" to 48000 !!!) Then I try with an older version of xvid and there is no such problem!

>If I set the audio to 48khz then the captured avi plays like a slideshow The "slideshow" effect makes me think that it's not a problem with the audio, but rather a problem with the decoder (namely Nic's). Have you tried lower than 48khz? Are you using ffdshow? If no to both, then I suggest trying them first and posting the results.

As said ALL my xvid avis have 48khz sound and never had such prob! Also yes I always use ffdshow. I just switched to Koepi's Build XviD-04102002-1 and the problem is gone! So what ever this is has to do with Xvid build. So Until we find what the problem is, I can't use the newer builds :(

>As said ALL my xvid avis have 48khz sound and never had such prob! Well, I didn't say that any of your XviD avi's have less than 48khz sound. I was just trying to establish whether or not it was related to the problem when I asked if you had tried lower frequencies. >Also yes I always use ffdshow. Is "Use XviD" checked? If it's not a problem with the decoder, I have no real idea what's going on. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

gldblade, the problem is not the file playback. what I described was the result. When sound format set to 48khz iuvcr can't capture correctly! The cpu usage goes to max and the file size decreases and fall to half the usual size. and the result is an corupt avi file that plays like a slideshow. I would be very happy if someone could check and test capturing with 48khz stereo pcm sound with Iuvcr and tell us if this is happening to them too or is it only for me!
