guitar players - do you agree with me?

I'm inclined to agree. I think amp sims are in general more unforgiving, particularly when it comes to pickups.

I agree, good strings are a must with di too. What I do is put reaq before any amp sim, then adjust up around 800-3k range and that brightens it up, gives it a whole other tone :) ~Rob.
