Digi Tech Support, Do we need to wait before running this firmware update? I see it's available from the Software Update Control Panel running OS 9.2.2. I've got a "Mirrored-Door" Dual 1.0Ghz.

I installed the firmware 4.4.8 update to no avail. Anyone have success with this? The "wind tunnel" is still annoying the hell out of me. The update made no difference.

Hi, I installed the firmware update 4.4.8 released right after thanksgiving and it helped my dual 1ghz mirror door purchased last september. The fan is still noticable, but there's no loud (vacuum-like) start and stop, it just runs consistently at a lower level. It used to shut off and then kick on at a very high/loud level, and now it doesn't. I don't remember how I did it other than following the read-me file's instructions and being successful on the first attempt. good luck!
