Consolidate/Export help

Advertising

MessageAuthor

I'm pretty new to Reaper, and trying to collaborate with a friend who is using a different DAW. In reading the manual I got the impression that when you consolidate tracks and export your project, Reaper would create new media items that could all be inserted into a new project on their own tracks at a common starting point. That way the tracks wouldn't need to be lined up manually by the new user. When I consolidate, any track that only has 1 media item on it, it still needs to be lined up manually by my friend. The silence doesn't get added at the beginning of the track. I realize that I could just give my friend the information to line them up properly, but I'd like to aviod that kind of tedious work. :) Is there any way around this? Thanks for any help you can offer! Colin PS- the consolidation works beautifully if there are multiple media items on a track.

Hmmm, I thought that when you consolidate,it adds empty items to make all waves equal lenght. I guess you could do it the way I used to. Just add empty items on the needed waveforms to make sure they all have the same starting point. Bardo

Set the ignore silence different. It really would be cool to make this menu item more obvious with a menu item like " Start all from beginning to end"
